"DEATH BED takes inspiration from ancient Greek ceramics, using the same style of visual representation in order to allude to dramatic episodes from Greek mythology. Ultimately, each protagonist’s struggle ends in an escalating spiral of excessive violence. While one projection depicts the moment in which each of the figures is vanquished or dies, the second projection renders the bodies of the various characters piled one on top of the other as if in a mass grave – of characters, attributes, symbols, stories and conflicts. Here Cnaani immerses us in her binary construction of Eros/Thanatos, animal/master, prey/predator relationships."
