NEWS:
Network of Lombardy (Italy) Contemporary Art Museums
selects Ofri Cnaani for a Network Art Project to open on October 1st, 2009

The Network of Lombardy Contemporary Art is an alliance of ten museums that was founded with the purpose of acquiring and exhibiting contemporary artworks. The alliance has commissioned eleven international artists to create Twister, ten site-specific art works, one per museum, plus one connecting project, for which the alliance has chosen Ofri Cnaani. Cnaani’s work, the network art project, was selected by an international panel, which reviewed proposals from 60 invited artists. The work includes a series of video installations that will be embedded within the museums’ architecture, connecting the ten museums, enhancing the visibility of the network, and revealing both the uniqueness and the cohesion of the project as a whole while exposing the specific character of each art institution. All eleven projects will be exhibited simultaneously on the premises of each of the participating institutions, and will be inaugurated in a single major opening week, on October 1st-4th, 2009.
